Winter scrambling series
Time to get hardened to the cold, dark, and lets face it, wet UK hill conditions! You'll thank yourself afterwards, promise.
The venue for this particular outing will be Oaken Clough which is a grade 2 (depending water gush levels) scramble. We will meet at Crowden Clough Car Park for a 7pm depart. (Crowden Car Park - Peak District NP, A628 SK13 1HZ). The route is about 6km give or take, with about 200m ascent, give or take.
If the weather is totally foul and the gully resembles Niagra Falls, we may need to revert to a back up plan.
Open to all members and prospectives. Please be comfortable with navigating in the dark (we will be keeping together but just in case you are seperated!) and also scrambling in the wet.
